Do I get paid, or is this a volunteer opportunity?

Girls Positivity Club leaders are paid for leading clubs.  The amount you are paid depends on the number of girls in your club and the length of time you choose to lead a club.  The club cost will be calculated according to the socio-economic status of the community you serve.

How do I know what to do at each session?

The clubs will have the same format for each session, although the lesson will be different each session which is predictable for you and the girls.

How do parents register their daughters?

Girls Positivity Club provides the link to a registration page where the parents will pay.  You will then be paid your commission when your club session is completed.  For example, if you choose to do an 8-week club, you are paid after your 8th session with the girls.

Is there a guide or materials?

Yes, Melissa has written a curriculum using her 23-year teaching career experience that you will follow for each session, including visuals, videos, and worksheets, in a very simple format.  It is quick and easy to follow.

How do I invite girls to join my club?

A flyer will be created for you by Girls Positivity Club, including a personalized registration and information page that will have a QR code for parents to scan to access your registration link.  You will also be provided with social media graphics for your preferred platforms.

You can invite girls via word of mouth, through a school's approved platform, or on community platforms.  Word of mouth and reaching out to people you know who have girls in your desired age group is a very effective strategy. You will receive support in finding the best outreach approach for you.

Where do I hold my club?

Clubs can be held virtually or in various in-person locations- neighborhood clubhouse facilities, parks, libraries, conference rooms, community centers, schools, and your home.

Do I have to create marketing materials or collect payments from parents?

Accepted Answer

No, all flyers, registration pages, payment, and graphics will be created for you and personalized by Girls Positivity Club.

Question 8

Is there support along the way?

Yes, there are two monthly leadership meetings where leaders worldwide meet with Melissa to share experiences, talk through any challenges and connect and meet the other women who are positively impacting their communities.

What ages should I choose, and how are the girls grouped?

You should choose an age group that you are confident and comfortable serving.  We recommend thinking in developmental ranges such as 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-17-19.  You can adjust these groupings of ages but think about an age group that would have similar life experiences.  You would never group a 17-year-old with a 6-year-old, for example, and Melissa can support you in age groupings if you like.

What is the time commitment for leading a club?

Clubs meet for 1 hour per week (typically four clubs per month).

How much preparation is there before each meeting?

Accepted Answer

You would need to read through the curriculum and gather any materials needed for your club. Since everything is provided, it is a very low preparation time, and depends on each leader. You can spend as little as 15-20 minutes preparing for sessions.
